Family Portraits in Cross-Stitch

I recently saw this idea for cross-stitched portraits in Martha Stewart Living and just about flipped! Although I love doing embroidery, I've never tried my hand at cross-stitch, but this moves it to the very top of my must-learn list. I would just LOVE to have a little cross-stitched portrait of Paul and me along with Lola and Biscuit (our two chihuahuas) hanging in our house. Adorable.


Follow along with Martha's instructions for how to design and cross stitch your own family portraits. (Gosh, the sketches are just as cute as the finished work.) What a great gift this would be for someone for the holidays! Oh... and please let me know if you try this!
